Rimfire Technical Services, Inc. is an environmental service company providing technical level support and various types of Environmental Services to some of the world’s largest Consulting Firms, Industrial Concerns, and Analytical Laboratories. Established in 1994, Rimfire has consistently worked with and learned from the best minds in the industry.

With today's safety concerns driving all aspects of industry, Rimfire is be very proud of our AWARD WINNING SAFETY RECORD, and safety program that has allowed Rimfire to maintain long working relationships with our clients (in some cases decades long relationships).

Environmental Sampling

Rimfire has in the past and is currently involved in many types of studies: surface-water sampling, groundwater sampling, soil sampling, and air monitoring.

Comprehensive surface water, groundwater, and soil sampling. In the past 23 years Rimfire has collected hundreds of thousands of environmental samples
Electronic Documentation and tracking including share ware services i.e. Team Viewer reporting, etc.
On site measurement of many prearranged analytes
Groundwater elevations for potentiometric mapping
Detection and sampling of immiscible phases
Storm water sampling utilizing hand grab methods, or ISCO type auto sampling equipment
NPDES sampling, flow monitoring, and other compliance related tasks
Construct, operate, and maintain several innovative pilot studies for various treatments
Work with predetermined State approved laboratories to coordinate sample events

Technical Level Support

Extensive field experience in installation, maintenance, tracking & downloads of data recording devices, probes, and test equipment, i.e. Telemetry Systems, Scada Systems, Shareware Team Viewer reporting, Insitu, Solonist, Oakton, YSI, Doppler, and others
Provide regularly scheduled Calibration and maintenance services for many types of Environmental Industrial probes and equipment
Operation and maintenance of ground water recovery systems, including deep well pumping, French drain systems, onsite & remote operations with millions of gallons recovered for treatment.
Installation of weirs, flumes, staff gauges and other in-place measuring devices.
Trained and Safety Certified Technician level support in most disciplines involved in the Environmental field.

Site operations & Maintenance

Licensed Treatment Operators on Staff. Treated in excess of 3-billion gallons of water under NPDES permits
Certified Heavy Equipment operators for most tasks
In shop or in field custom steel and wood fabrications for many industrial needs: pilot studies, weirs/flumes, pumping projects, etc.
Certified High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) fusion welding
Post Closure Erosion, & Storm Water Pollution Prevention inspections
Maintenance of Solid Waste landfills & other environmental closures
Liaison to State Inspectors
Dam stabilization monitoring, including Inclinometer and Piezometer monitoring
O&M of water treatment system including remote surveillance and operations of many types of treatment, pumping, and monitoring systems

Currently Rimfire operates & maintains 100's of pumps, ranging from large electric vertical turbine pumps, submersible pumps, as well as all types and sizes of pumps used in the Environmental Industrial field.
